The Red pick up truck with the load of parts in the back has been parked at this corner for going on a week. Either its been abandoned or the guy is living under the Conference Bridge. People often park at the lower end of Roaring Camp Road and that is no problem. Those that park at the upper end at Conference Dr. are either breaking into the MH shops or doing no good under the bridge.

I think the red truck might belong to a guy who is living in the house just up the stairs from Roaring Camp Road. I have seen it come and go as well as seen someone bringing things up those stairs, presumably from that truck. We will check into it further. Roaring Camp Road is owned by SC county so we have no towing authority on that road but we can notify the Sheriffs Office.

The red truck does not have a current registration and has not been moved whatsoever for the past 5 days that I have been carefully watching.

I contacted the Sherriff's office on November 13 to notify them of the red truck. As of November 14, the red truck has moved. As Mark stated earlier, Roaring Camp Rd. belongs to the county; in the future you can report abandoned vehicles on county property to the Sherriff's office through this link: www.scsheriff.com/Home/AbandonedVehicles.aspx. Thanks so much for your continued help in keeping Mount Hermon and its surrounding areas safe. -- Josh Edwards Mount Hermon - Roads, Trails, Bridges Dept.
